On Sunday, September 11 we will have a Bishop Dennis Anniversary of Ordination Mass of thanksgiving and and Reception to celebrate Bishop Dennis’ 25th Ordination to the Priesthood and 10th anniversary as a Bishop in the Diocese of Berberati, in the Central African Republic. A Mass of Thanksgiving will be celebrated on Sunday, September 11 at 11:30 at St. Helen’s (Norwell) with a gathering immediately after the St. Mary’s Parish Hall for fellowship and light refreshments. Please mark your calendars and come celebrate this wonderful achievement and blessing. Alleluia !!

Grade 1-5 Religious Education will begin the week of October 3rd. Please sign-up today, if you have not already. Details will be sent to those registered in late September.

Many families are starting to buy their back-to-school supplies. Maybe you can consider buying an few items just like you would for your own family to help send these kiddos back to school with enough to eat. Please consider donating via grocery card or funds if you are not out shopping in the stores. Thank you!

Summer CCD will be running from Sunday, August 21 through Sunday August 28 and some driveways may be blocked off . There will be many students, teachers and helpers all over the St. Mary’s Parish grounds, so please drive slowly and carefully for the safety of all !!

Join us this Thursday, Thursday, August 11 at 10 a.m. at Saint Mary’s Parish Center (392 Hanover St, Rte 139, Hanover) for a presentation of “Saint Clare: A Woman for the Ages” given by Sister Marie Puleo. This will be a free presentation and light refreshments will be served , so mark your calendar and be sure to join us !

On Monday, August 15 , the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we will celebrate the holy day at 9:00 A.M Daily Mass at St. Mary’s. This is a holy day, but not a holy day of obligation because it falls on a Monday.

This weekend on Aug 6th and 7th, after all Masses,  Mercy Sews will have available to purchase and donate t-shirts to clothe the Pygmy children in Bishop Dennis’ diocese in Berberati, Central African Republic. These children are some of the poorest in the world. T-shirts will be $5 ( which covers the cost of the t-shirt plus shipping). FIRST FRIDAY OF THE SACRED HEART DEVOTIONS  **** Will not take place *****on Friday, August 5, 2022,  3:00-6:00 p.m.  at The   Portiuncula Chapel, Cardinal Cushing Centers (Route 53, Hanover, MA) Experience the Blessings of First Friday of the Sacred Heart Devotions. All are invited to pray together the Sacred Heart Devotions, which includes Adoration and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament, Chaplet of Divine Mercy, recitation of the Rosary, followed by Stations of the Cross.  Also, take the opportunity to go to the Sacrament of Reconciliation on Chapel grounds from 3:15 - 5:30 p.m.  Any questions, contact  [email protected]
